What is a Keurig?

The Keurig machine refers to a one-cup coffeemaker that makes use of individual pods to produce your lovely coffee.

It was built to prevent making bitter coffee, which would sit in office pots all through the morning. But it became so popular that the company made a version that could be used at home. Since then, after it was released, its patent expired and other competitors using pods started coming up.

In the year 2013, 13 percent of Americans drank at least a cup of coffee pod brewed daily. In the year 2014, K Cups captured a quarter of the coffee market in the U.S.

Advantages and Disadvantages of K-Cups

These Keurig machines have advantages and disadvantages.

The advantage of the Keurig machine is that you have a wide selection of drinks and other coffees, and it is also convenient. While the disadvantages of Keurig is that it is quite expensive. There are limited K Cup choices, and there are lots of environmental issues that build up as a result of the landfill sites annually.

Keurig vs. Coffeemaker

The typical coffee machine is quite easy to use and produces basic coffee. When using the typical coffee maker, you’ll end up with more chances of getting a horrible cup of coffee compared to if you make use of a Keurig, which is more consistent.

This was the goal of creating the Keurig machine. Its job was to become better and to make coffee that tasted better than those made by the typical coffee maker. But if you don’t consume this coffee immediately and leave the coffee to stew on the hot plate or the pot, it’ll become bitter and lack that fresh new feeling, making the coffee unpleasant completely.

So there we have it. Which do you think is the better maker of coffee? Now it is all up to you and the choices you prefer and the type of coffee and the time you’ll like to have it.
